THE FOUNDATION OF THE TEMPLE (EZRA 3)
64 The whole congregation together was forty and two
thousand three hundred and threescore,
65 Beside their servants and their maids, of whom there were seven thousand
three hundred thirty and seven: and there were among them two hundred singing
men and singing women. (Ezra 2:64-65)
We see more 40,000 Jewish people with more 7,000
servants came back from Babylon.
10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they
set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of
Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of
Israel.
11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the
LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And
all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because
the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid. (Ezra 3:10-11)
And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD - These words are about physical foundation of the temple but
we see there is a spiritual sense in them too: to strenghten the faith in
Hashem!

14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall
go before thy face. (Psalms 89:14)
Who is the foundation for us Messianic
believers? Messiah Yeshua!
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a
stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that
believeth shall not make haste. (Isaiah 28:16)
3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things
from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been
instructed. (Luke 1:3-4)

masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But
let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. (1 Cor. 3:10)
