1. To provoke the Jewish people to jealousy
Rom
11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid:
but [rather] through their fall salvation [is come] unto the Gentiles, for to
provoke them to jealousy.
2. To share the Good News with "the
Jew first"
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the
gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
3. To glorify G-d
Rom
15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for
the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers:
Rom 15:9 And that the Gentiles might
glorify God for [his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to
thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
Rom 15:10 And again he saith,
Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
Rom 15:11 And again, Praise the Lord,
all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
Rom 15:12 And again, Esaias saith,
There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the
Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
4. To bless Israel
Gen
12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth
thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
5. To pray for peace in Jerusalem
Psa 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
6. To
help to Jewish people
Rom 15:27 It hath pleased them
verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made
partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them
in carnal things.
Isaiah 49:22 Thus saith the Lord GOD,
Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the
people: and they shall bring thy sons in [their] arms, and thy daughters shall
be carried upon [their] shoulders.
7. To boast not against Israel
Rom
11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild
olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and
fatness of the olive tree;
Rom 11:18 Boast not against the
branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Rom 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The
branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
