"... to the Jew first..."
Rav Shaul (apostle Paul) was apostle of the Gentiles.
Rom 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of
the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Gal 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the
uncircumcision was committed unto me, as [the gospel] of the circumcision
[was] unto Peter;
Gal 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of
the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
Gal 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars,
perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the
right hands of fellowship; that we [should go] unto the heathen, and they unto
the circumcision.
Often Paul with his assistants went to synagogues, shared the Good News with
the Jews and Gentiles. Let us read more:
Acts 9:19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was
Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
Acts 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he
is the Son of God.
Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost
said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
Acts 13:3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid [their] hands on
them, they sent [them] away.
Acts 13:4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto
Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
Acts 13:5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in
the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to [their] minister.
Acts 13:13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to
Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
Acts 13:14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in
Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
Acts 13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers
of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, [Ye] men [and] brethren, if ye have
any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
Acts 13:16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with [his] hand said, Men of
Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
Acts 14:1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together
into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of
the
Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
Acts 17:1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they
came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:
Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three
sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Acts 17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and
risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is
Christ.
Acts 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night
unto Berea: who coming [thither] went into the synagogue of the Jews.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures
daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women
which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
Acts 17:15 And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and
receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all
speed, they departed.
Acts 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was
stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
Acts 17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with
the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.
Acts 18:1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to
Corinth;
Acts 18:2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately
come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded
all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
Acts 18:3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and
wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded
the Jews and the Greeks.
Acts 18:5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was
pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews [that] Jesus [was] Christ.
Acts 18:19 And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself
entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.
Acts 19:8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space
of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of
God.
Rav Shaul said:
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the
power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and
also to the Greek.
Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision
for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers:
Rom 15:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for [his] mercy; as it
is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing
unto thy name.
Rom 15:10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
