Shechinah (the glory of the LORD)

''Shechinah is derived from the Hebrew verb shakhan. In Biblical Hebrew the word means literally to settle, inhabit, or dwell, and is used frequently in the Hebrew Bible.'' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shekhinah)

Jews saw Shechinah in the wilderness:

Exod 16:10  And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.

When Moshe went up into the mount Sinai Shechinah abode upon it:

Exod 24:15  And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
Exod 24:16  And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
Exod 24:17  And the sight of the glory of the LORD [was] like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
Exod 24:18  And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

When the tent of the congregation was built Shechinah filled the tabernacle:

Exod 40:34  Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
Exod 40:35  And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
Exod 40:36  And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
Exod 40:37  But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
Exod 40:38  For the cloud of the LORD [was] upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

All people saw Shechinah:

Lev 9:23  And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

When Shlomo (Solomon) had built the temple Shechinah had filled it:

1Kings 8:10  And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy [place], that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
1Kings 8:11  So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
1Kings 8:12  Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

Ezekiel saw Shechinah:

Ezek 43:2  And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice [was] like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.

We can read about Shechinah in Brit Hadasha:

Luk 2:9  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

Stephen saw Shechinah:

Acts 7:55  But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

When we look at Shechinah we ''are changed into the same image from glory to glory'':

2Cor 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Shechinah is light:

Rev 21:23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.

''The 17th blessing of the daily Amidah prayer said in Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform services is "Blessed are You, God, who returns His Presence (shekhinato) to Zion." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shekhinah)
