7 And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest:
and they following Adonijah helped him. (1 Kings 1:7)
But Tzadok, Benaiah, the prophet Nathan and other people were not with him:
8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the
prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were
not with Adonijah. (1 Kings 1:8)
It is important be faithful people!
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in
heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour
and glory at the appearing of Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ): (1 Peter 1:6-7)
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory
that overcometh the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4)
We read Tzadok anointed Shlomo:
34 And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over
Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon. (1 Kings
1:34)
38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of
Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused
Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.
39 And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed
Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king
Solomon. (1 Kings 1:38-39)
Who were the descendants of Tzadok?
- Azariah kohen ha-rosh (the chief priest) who with 80 priests
opposed to the king Uzziah who did lawlessness:
16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he
transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to
burn incense upon the altar of incense.
17 And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of
the LORD, that were valiant men:
18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not
unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons
of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for
thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.
19 Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense: and
while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead
before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar.
20 And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and,
behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence;
yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.
21 And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a
several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD:
and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.
(2 Chr. 26:16-21)
- Hilkiah ha-kohen ha-gadol (the chief priest) who found Torah in the
time of the king Yoshiah (Josiah):
8 And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the
book of Torah (the law) in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to
Shaphan, and he read it. (2 Kings 22:8)
11 And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of Torah
(the law), that he rent his clothes.
12 And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan,
and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of
the king's, saying,
13 Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah,
concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the
LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto
the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written
concerning us. (2 Kings 22:11-13)
- Ezra who "had prepared his heart to seek Torah of the LORD (the
law of the LORD), and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and
judgments." (Ezra 7:10)
1 And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street
that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring
the book of Torah Moshe (the law of Moses), which the LORD had commanded to
Israel.
2 And Ezra the priest brought Torah (the law) before the congregation both of
men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day
of the seventh month.
3 And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the
morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could
understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the
law.
4 And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the
purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Uriah, and
Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and
Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
5 And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above
all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: (Nehem. 8:1-5)
MESSIAH YESHUA IS FAITHFUL AND TRUE:
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and
make war. (Rev. 19:11)
