What do 12 and 7 baskets mean (Matthew 14 and 15)?

19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. (Matthew 14:19-20)

twelve baskets full - the miracle like man (manna). 12 - corresponds to the number of the tribes of Israel. Here is a hint to the spiritual food for all Jews.


25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. (Isaiah 45:25)

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (Romans 11:26)



37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. (Matthew 15:37)

 

seven baskets fullLikely this food was  for Gentiles or a mixed people. 7- here is a hint for the spiritual food for all people in the world.

8 Now I say that Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to Thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto Thy name.
