Dear friends!
Do you remember these lines in 1 Corinthians 13?
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and
all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove
mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
They are very good and actual lines! Yes, of course, God wants we would
know His Word well. God wants we would search Bible:
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and
they are they which testify of me. John 5:39
If we know Bible better than other people we must do as Aquila and Priscilla
did:
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and
mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the
spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only
the baptism of John.
26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and
Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way
of God more perfectly. Acts 18:24-26
But if we have not love we are nothing! Let us to read these lines in 1
Corinthians 13:
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity
vaunteth
not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily
provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all
things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it
shall vanish away.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of
these is charity.
