"Our Father" is the Jewish prayer
Prayer ''Our Father'' is the Jewish prayer. Let us read it as well as the
parallel verses of TaNaKh (the Old Testament) and Sidur (the Jewish
prayer-book).
Matt 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in
heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Matt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
Psalms 145:10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints
shall bless thee.
Psalms 145:11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy
power;
Psalms 145:12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the
glorious majesty of his kingdom.
Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to
grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his]
seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper
in his hand.
''Glorified and sanctified be His great name in the world which
He has created according to His will. May He establish His kingdom in your
lifetime...'' (Kaddish)
''You are holy and Your name is holy, and your holy ones praise You every
day. Blessed are You, O Lord, holy God.'' (Amidah, blessing three)
Matt 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
''Bless for us, Adonai our God, this year and its crops. Grant us a
blessing on the earth. Satisfy us from Thy bounty and bless our year like
other good years. Blessed are You, O Lord, Who blesses the years.'' (Amidah,
blessing nine)
Matt 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Psalms 79:9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy
name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
"Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned; pardon us, our King, for
we have transgressed; for You pardon and forgive. Blessed are You, O
Lord, gracious One who abundantly forgives. (Amidah, blessing six).
Matt 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil...
Psalms 7:1 O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them
that persecute me, and deliver me:
Psalms 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for
I put my trust in thee.
Matt 6:13 ... For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever. Amen.
1Chr 29:11 Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the
glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all [that is] in the heaven and
in the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted
as head above all.
Psalms 145:13 Thy kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion
[endureth] throughout all generations.
