The cup of
redemption
6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring
you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of
their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great
judgments:
7 And I will take you to Me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye
shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the
burdens of the Egyptians. (Exodus 6:6-7)
and I will redeem - too: and
I shall save (in Hebrew: v'gaalti)
25 For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter
day upon the earth: (Job 19:25)
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in
thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my Redeemer. (Psalms 19:14)
14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the
LORD, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 41:14)
1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee,
O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name;
thou art Mine. (Isaiah 43:1)
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy
Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and
a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather
thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting
kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. (Isaiah
54:5-8)
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold,
thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding
upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. (Zech. 9:9)
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is
Messiah (Christ) the Lord. (Luke 2:11)
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the New Testament in
My blood, which is shed for you. (Luke 22:20)
This cup is called the cup of redemption,
salvation in Messiah Yeshua. It is the third cup during Pesakh (Passover)
Seder.
